The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed in regards to the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The provider stage designed for intervention experiences a significant influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who pay status sassa a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to SRDread more empower the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
